This card really makes me smile. I was reading a blog post by Julie Ebersole about the craziness of crafters. Apparently, on Christmas Day, she had a fit when her husband tried to throw away the ribbons and discarded wrappings off the morning presents. She couldn't, simply couldn't, part with the precious chenille mitten from the Starbuck's gift card. Really, who could?!
Well, I could. I actually did -- until I read her blog and was overwhelmed with remorse. I actually dug in my office trash can to pick out the mitten and set it aside. I knew I was a complete waste of the blogosphere if I couldn't make something adorable out of that mitten!
Tada! I think it's great. I made the card out of the recycled brown paper that SU keeps filling my boxes with. On the inside, the card reads, "Warm Winter Wishes". The envelope is covered with red snowflakes, so that when you get your mail, you KNOW you got something good! :D
oh, this is soooo cute! What a great idea!
