I was lucky enough to work with a couple of different stamps and I've fallen completely IN LOVE with Elizabeth Bell.  Isn't Latte beautiful?!  I used the retired SU papers "Urban Prairie" to paper piece her dress to match the card, and colored her with my Copic markers.  I'm sending her to my BFF and coffee buddy, Rachel, who moved to Michigan.  Here she is again in green... you can tell, I couldn't "stop"...

OK, now because I couldn't stop coloring, I also did this adorable card for my niece, Alyssa.  

This stamp is called "I Heart Ya"   This little girl is colored with Copics to match the new SEI Happy Birthday papers.  I think she looks just like Alyssa.

Valentine's Day Love Fest

OK, here it is -- I fell in love with this card by JoAnne from Just a Little Something

I fell in love with it so hard that I thought I'd CASE her (Copy And Share Everything) for the Valentine's for my Mom & Dad.  Here's my version...

 

Yeah, yeah, I suck at sewing, but I was still happy with it.  I have no idea why my camera won't photograph my kraft cardstock like JoAnne's.  Hers looks all soft and warm... mine looks grey.  Of course, in real life, mine looks krafty. 

Anyway, I was feeling all good about my version THEN she did it to me again... before I could post, JoAnne CASEd herself and I like this version almost better....

Damn. I want to be her when I grow up.  Sigh.

OK, so now, here's another one -- this one is all me baby -- and it's one of my favorite cards EVER. 

 

 

I still want to be JoAnne, but I'm happy now.  Think I'll go have a glass of wine to celebrate.

So guess what I made yesterday

Seriously cute, right?!  I made this for our neighborhood "Phantom" game.  (It's the same game as "Boo" -- if you've ever heard of that.)  Before you think I'm that good -- I totally cheated.  I used Jen's Jeepers Creepers set.  This literally took me only as long as printing and cutting to whip out.  My neighbors think I'm Martha Stewart now!  

I will take credit for the cute cakes -- they are Little Debbie snack cakes with icing piped ghosts. :-D

No card to share with you today.  Sorry -- I actually stamped a lot this week, but they were all flat out copies of some of my favorite cards from around the Blogosphere.  I needed a stash of cards for family and friends and I just wasn't feeling the mojo.  Sometimes, it's fun just to "make" and not have to "create".  I think of it the same way I think of cake from a box.... sometimes, it's just what fits the moment :)

So my challenge to you this week is to pick a project from the Shout Out list and make it just because you love it.  Don't worry about blogging it or photographing it or anything. Make it for you.  Make it for fun.  Feel the love.

Card of the Week & Best of the Blogosophere: August 21 - 28, 2009

Yesterday was Rob and my 15 year wedding anniversary. 15 years.  FIFTEEN.  That seems like a lot to me.   I still like him and everything! 

Anyway, I saw this stamp (Stick Love, by Wordsworth) in Archiver's and I HAD to buy it.  It just is so funny and sweet and it screamed "anniversary", "wedding", "Valentine's Day" -- in fact, it cooed at me from the shelf.... "Susanna, you NEED to buy me!"  So I did.

I love how it turned out.  I had so much fun with these images that I actually made two cards.  He's only getting one... I'm saving the the other one in my box of cards that never actually get mailed.
